Simple dressmaking & more
Sewing is a skill that lasts a lifetime.
In this club your child will be making its first simple garments using commercial patterns.
They will learn how to take measurements, use a size chart, understand commercial patterns, make adaptations, hack, learn to pick the right fabric, sew different seams, hems, assemble a variety of different garments, with pockets and zips, facings and bindings. Your teens will also learn to mend, copy, up-cycle and alter their own clothes.
This program runs into Term 2 and 3 where all of the above will be covered.
